Mountain biking can generally be broken down into multiple categories: cross country, trail riding, all mountain (also referred to as "Enduro"), downhill, freeride and dirt jumping. Here we show you a some timing solutions for this exciting sport.

Product solutions

The start is effected by a startgun. For counting the laps a lap counter is positioned at the finish line. At the finish, a photocell stops the time of the timing device TdC 8001 and controls the recording of the photofinish. A display board shows the running time.

"Mountain Bike downhill" racing refers to the sport of racing downhill on a specialized mountain bike. The objective is to navigate a downhill course as quickly as possible, which often includes steep descents, obstacles such as rocks, logs, or muddy sections, and tight turns. Riders must maintain their speed and balance while avoiding crashes or losing control of their bike.

In downhill racing, several riders usually compete at the same time, with each rider being timed individually and their times compared at the end of the race. The goal is to complete the course in the fastest time possible while making as few mistakes as possible. Downhill racing is a spectacular and challenging event that is popular among both riders and spectators.
