IDCAM Camera

The IDCam is a reliable and simple solution to issue a protocol of the finish arrival with high resolution pictures. Each finish line crossing of an athlete produces several pictures that are stored with the time of day on a PC.
It is possible to connect the IDCam-system with an ALGE-TIMING timing device. This allows an automatic recording controlled by the finish sensor (e.g. photocell). The recording duration for each finish impulse is adjustable (recording time before and after impulse). If the impulse is transmitted from the timing device with a start number (bib) the number is also stored with the picture.
With the recorded pictures you can verify the finish arrival and it allows correcting missing times or start numbers. All in all, an ideal addition to any ALGE-TIMING timing system.

FAQ

In 2020 the IDCam software was changed from 32 bit to 64 bit. These are stored in different folders. The 32 bit version is out of date and can be uninstalled. The 32-bit variant is located under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Alge-Timing\IDCam". If in doubt, uninstall both versions and reinstall the current version.

Please check the menu "Show license problem/status". There you should get the required information. You have to download the license file only once. The most common problems are: No or wrong password of the camera, Timing device of a third party vendor (additional license necessary) or wrong network configuration.

Maybe you have an AVIRA Virus scanner. Switch it off or use another Virus scanner.
