Stadium cabling
19. September 2019
The following stadium cabling is now available:
- TB2 A-E (replaces TB A-E)
- TB2 A-E-RJ (replaces TB A-E in the infield at the finish)
- TB2 F (replaces TB F)
- TBM-F2 (replaces TBM-F1)
- TBM A-D (remains the same)
- TB W (remains the same)
Changes
The new stadium cabling TB2 A-E (for infield without network connection) and TB2 A-E-RJ (for infield at finish with network connection) now has a connection for the intermediate time. The TB2 A-E-RJ also has an option for a network connection. This is necessary when a photo finish camera or IDCam is connected at the infield.
The TB2 F can now also be connected to the intermediate time. The level converter RS232 to RS485 is omitted as it is already integrated in the OPTIc3. Blue and white banana jacks are now the connection for the display board. An RJ45 connector for Ethernet is integrated in the new TB2 F. The TB2 F is supplied with the 166-10 cable instead of the 037-10 cable.
With the TBM-F2 cabling, the level converter RS232 to RS485 is also omitted. The converter is integrated in the OPTIc3. The connection for the display board is made via blue and white banana jacks. An intermediate time is not possible with mobile cabling. The TBM-F2 is delivered with the 166-10 cable instead of the 037-10 cable.
Intermediate time is only possible with the new stadium cabling if both cablings are replaced: the TB A-E (replaced by TB2 A-E) as well as the TB F (replaced by TB2 F). Since the interface for the display board has also changed, this option is only suitable for OPTIc3, but not for older photo finish systems. The same applies to the replacement of TBM-F1 by TBM-F2.
